Hello we are Cara and Karl and we wanted to tell you a little bit about ourselves since we will be looking after you during your holiday to the wounderful Les Gets.  The allure of relocating overseas captivated us from the start. After much reflection, we realised that France was our ideal destination, promising a refreshing lifestyle, a vibrant culture, and a wealth of outdoor pursuits, all while keeping us close to our loved ones in the UK.

With Karl’s extensive background in property renovations and Cara’s profound expertise in high-end retail, the vision of launching a luxury ski chalet business became clear. We devoted the next six months to finding the perfect renovation opportunity, navigating through a long list of criteria that made our search both exciting and challenging. After visiting countless barns, farms, and chalets, we stumbled upon Ferme Des Cornuts, a 1000 square metre derelict farm building dating back to 1850, which had stood empty for over 40 years. Following 18 months of perseverance and five unsuccessful planning applications, we finally received the green light to transform this farm into a luxury property and establish it as a premium holiday rental.

Our renovation journey began in 2014, and after a decade filled with hard work, the joys of raising two children, and two additional property renovation projects, we are ecstatic and extreamly proud to introduce Ferme Des Cornuts and Chalet Abeille, two beautifully designed and renovated independent properties. Ferme Des Cornuts has been lovingly reimagined into a 250 square metre Savoyard farmhouse featuring four bedrooms and three-and-a-half bathrooms, all with a contemporary flair. By incorporating recycled wood cladding, stones from the original structure, and grand timber beams, we have crafted a spacious, modern barn that offers our guests an enchanting retreat in the mountains. Our second property, Chalet Abeille, is a stylish four-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bathroom chalet, meticulously rebuilt from the ground up. This stunning space boasts new timber cladding, crisp white plaster walls and sleek LED lighting, creating an elegant and comfortable haven for our guests to unwind. Both chalets are conveniently located side by side at an altitude of 1250 metres, complete with ample off-road parking, just minutes from the ski stations and restaurants of Les Gets, and only an hour from Geneva airport. These exquisite properties provide a truly unique and luxurious escape, ideal for ski holidays and mountain adventures in the stunning Alps year-round.
